About Me
More about me and my approach to our work
I am deeply curious about your life experiences, including what has shaped you into the person you are today, what strengths you already possess, and what outcomes you’re hoping to achieve. I pride myself on my communication skills and I enjoy equipping individuals with skills and resources for self awareness, self advocacy, and self improvement.
When working with individuals, my approach is person-centered and outcome oriented. I draw from research based theories, such as CBT, to investigate connections between feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. When working with families, I also value the practices of exploring relationship dynamics within the family system, enhancing communication skills, and encouraging conflict resolution practices and skills.
As a recent breast cancer survivor, I am extremely passionate about providing women with support which aims to encourage overall wellness. I am also a certified Yoga Teacher, having received my Yoga Teacher Training in 2015 through the LifePower Yoga Teacher Training Program in Austin, Texas. I encourage mindfulness and movement as healthy components to well-being.
When I am not working, I enjoy traveling with my family, reading, writing, walking, and practicing yoga.
